How to practice with the book?

3. Begin by playing the right-hand melody using the designated finger numbers.
4. Practice the left-hand accompaniment patterns independently, including arpeggios, chords, and single melodic voices.
5. If needed, listen to the songs to gain a better understanding of their sound.
The songs can easily be found on YouTube.
Please be aware that the versions available online may differ from the original, as many arrangers have altered the melodic structure.

I don't know how I stumbled across this Albanian Pianobook. But I'm glad I did. I thought it would be interesting for both of my wife and my son, but had no clue when I bought it on how easy or difficult it might be to follow.We had to dust off the piano. For the piano players, both played the early pieces effortlessly and then found it slightly more challenging as they moved through.It was a great couple of hours for all of us. Thoroughly enjoyable. We'll do it again. And even I - as a non-piano player - can appreciate the love and skill the author Elis Lloshi will have put into its preparation.

About the Author

Elis Lloshi is a composer, arranger, and pianist with nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, performing, and creating music. He holds a degree in Music Composition from the University of Arts in Tirana, Albania, and has dedicated his career to preserving and sharing Albanian musical heritage through high-quality arrangements and education.

Since 2005, Elis has worked as a pianist and keyboardist at a wide range of private and public events, while also teaching students of all ages. His deep understanding of piano performance, harmony, and pedagogy allows him to create arrangements that are musically expressive, practical to play, and clear to read—whether for study, teaching, or performance.

Elis’s work has been featured in local theater productions, youth song festivals, and community events, and he remains actively involved in music education. He is the author of The Ultimate Albanian Children’s Piano Songbook, a unique collection designed to introduce young pianists to Albanian music in an accessible and engaging way.

Today, Elis continues to arrange traditional and modern Albanian music, teach piano, and perform regularly, including at local churches. His mission is to help musicians around the world connect with Albanian music through authentic, thoughtfully crafted sheet music.
